This wonder of the animal kingdom, Greta Oto often called the clearwing or glasswing butterfly has transparent wings that measure a small 28 to 30 centimeters in length and have a wingspan of 5.6 to 6.1 centimeters. They are often spotted feeding on the nectar of lantana plants. They are found in the wild in Central and northern regions of South America with sightings as far north as Texas and as far south as Chile.
