Description
The Blue-Eyed Darner (Aeshna multicolor) is the second earliest dragonfly to emerge in the spring only the California darner emergence is earlier. This one is showing off the impressive wingspan that they have (65mm - 70mm) and the characteristic two blue stripes behind the head along with the pair of blue diagonal stripes on the throw that identify this species as male.I was lucky enough to find this beauty along a stream in Payson, AZ. Fine Art America watermark will not appear on purchased artwork.
